We wear them to protect our hands from the cold or the sun light.

    They travel into space for discovery purposes.

-Because you have to take everything you need, use special equipment and dispose of your rubbish.

Because they float away

By a space shuttle

Literature Time


Literature Time ( Stars in his Eyes ) by Raja T Nasr
The story takes place in Italy. It is about Galileo Galilei, who used to look at the stars all the time when he was a child. He was sent to school to be a doctor. His teachers and father thought he wouldn't succeed, and they kept calling him (dreamer). He loved Maths and he made many important discoveries. He invented the compass, the compass and the thermometer. He built the telescope.

1-   Mention some inventions of Galileo.
The compass, the telescope and the thermometer.

2- What do we use a compass for ?
We use it to know the directions when we are travelling.
3- What is a telescope used for ?
It is used for studying the sky, the stars and the planets.

4- describe Galileo personality?
He was hardworking, self-confident, patient and a great thinker

 

 

Literature Time (Silas Marner) by George Eliot
The story is about a man who was unlucky because when he was young, he had been betrayed by his dearest friend that stole money and accused Silas, then he married Silas' fiancée. Silas Marner had been accused of a crime he didn’t commit. So, he ran away to a far village where he worked as a weaver. He worked hard and saved most of his money under the floor. In that village there were two bad sons who wasted their father's money: Godfrey and Dunstan. Godfrey married Molly secretly, and they had a daughter. Dunstan had debts so he stole Silas' gold and ran away. One day, Molly went to Silas' cottage where she died and left her daughter, Eippe with Silas who brought her up as his adopted daughter. Sails' gold was retuned back again. Later, Eppie married a farmer, but she never left Silas alone.

 

 

 

 

1- Why was Silas considered an unlucky in his life ?
Because he was accused of stealing money, when he was young. His best friend stole the money and married his fiancée
2- How are people with good intentions rewarded ?
Allah will give them many blessings and people will love them and be kind to them.
3- If you were Silas Marner, would you leave your country to another because of being accused of a crime you are sure you didn't commit? Why ? Why not ?
No, because I think I should do my best to prove that I am honest.
4- What good thing did Silas do ? How was he rewarded at the end ?
He adopted Eppie and treated her as his real daughter, and he was rewarded by having a family to take care of him and he had his money back.
5- Mention TWO important qualities that a real friend have ?
Faithfulness, honesty, care, love and respect.
6- How can you descried Silas Marner's character ?
He is kind- hearted, simple, good and hard working.
7- How should we treat our parents ?
We should respect, obey and help them.
8- Why were people suspicious of Silas Marner ?
Because he lived alone outside the village and was a little strange.

 

 

 

 

 

Literature Time (A sound in the Air) by Raja T Nasr
"A sound in the Air" is a historical story about a famous Italian scientist, Guglielmo Marconi. Marconi is the best known for his experiments on what he called the "wireless telegraph", which led to the invention many useful inventions like the radio.
Marconi's friends used to make fun of his big ears. As a child, Marconi was interested in Science books and doing experiments on moving sounds through the air. Marconi's father didn’t think the wireless sound would be important.But, he supported him with money to buy the necessary things to do his experiments.

1- Should we make fun of people ? Why ?
No, because this is rude and it hurts other people's feelings.
2- What was special about Marconi ?
He had big ears and it was thought that he could hear that others can't hear.
3- What did Marconi spend his life doing?
He spent his life doing experiments on how to push sounds across the air using electricity.
4- What was Marconi like ?
He loved reading science books, and he was curious.
5- What was Marconi's achievement concerning sounds ?
A wireless machine that sends messages across the world.
6- How did Marconi's father help him ?
He gave him money to continue his experiments.
7 – What did Marconi discovery lead to ?
It led to many useful discoveries and inventions like the radio.
