                     Lesson 1 : How water lilies began
1- How can a person be humble ?
A person can be humble by not boasting to others and by not being rude to them.
2- What is your favourite kind of flowers ?
My favourite kind of flowers are Lilies and roses.
3- Mention TWO musical instruments ?
Harp – piano – oud.
4- How should we treat our parents ?
We should obey, help, respect and be kind to them, we should also listen to their advice.

5- Where do farmers take the cows to eat grass?

They take them to the meadow.

6- Where can you see lilies?

I can see lilies in lakes or rivers.
                            Lesson 2: Kubbar island
7- What time do you reach school ?
I reach school at 7 o'clock.
8- How do you get to an island ?
We get there by ferry.
9- What do we use ferries for ?
We use ferries to go from place to another across the sea.
10- Where do we see the coral reef ?
We see the coral reef under the sea.
11- What can you see in Kubbar Island ?
I can see seagulls, coral reefs, turtles and fish.
12- What can you do in Kubbar Island ?
I can snorkel, dive, swim, walk along the beach and play beach volleyball.
13- Why do people write diaries ?
To keep their secrets and memories and to remember the important things that happened.
14- How many islands are there in Kuwait ? Mention TWO of them.
There are nine islands in Kuwait. Two of them are: Kubbar Island and Failaka Island.

                      Lesson 3 : "Pearl diving"
15- Mention TWO sources of Kuwait's wealth in the past and nowadays.
Pearls – oil
16- Where are pearls formed ? or Where do we find pearls ?
They are formed in oyster shells.
17- Why did people stop diving for pearls ?
Because it is too difficult and dangerous and Japan started produced cheaper pearls.
18- What do pearl divers wear ?
A nose clip – a black suit or a wrap around skirt – a neck basket – a toe anchor
19- What were dhows used for ?
They were used for fishing and diving for pearls.
